Mechanistic Modeling of Unbonded Concrete Overlay Pavements

The Center for Transportation Studies at the University of Minnesota has released a report that explores fracture mechanics concepts, specifically the finite element method-based cohesive zone model, to analyze unbonded concrete overlays with the ultimate goal of establishing a more rational design procedure.
