Congressman Recognizes Engineers’ Week

Congressman Daniel Lipinski (D-IL) last week sponsored a resolution honoring the nation’s engineers during National Engineers Week. Congressman Lipinski applauded National Engineers Week for inspiring a generation of students and pushed his fellow Members of Congress to make math and science education a national priority. Congressman Lipinski has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s degree in Engineering-Economic Systems. He currently serves on both the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the House Science and Technology Committee. On the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee he sits on the subcommittees on Aviation; Highways and Transit; and Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials, while on Science and Technology he serves on the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Research and Science Education.
