Use of Precast Slabs for Pavement Rehabilitation on I-66

The Virginia State Department of Transportation has released a report that evaluates the performance of precast concrete pavement slabs on a highway outside of Washington, D.C.

The report evaluates two precast systems: precast concrete pavement that used doweled joints and pre-stressed precast concrete pavement that used transversely pre-stressed slabs post-tensioned in the longitudinal direction.
