Experimental Results on Soil-Geosynthetic Interaction Stiffness

The University of Texas at Austin Center for Transportation Research has released a report that assesses the performance of a newly developed small pullout box and the associated coefficient of soil-geosynthetic interaction (KSGI) model. The parameter KSGI quantifies the stiffness of the soil-reinforcement interface under low displacements, which makes it suitable for evaluating the performance of geo-synthetic products in base-reinforced pavements.
