RFP: Contribution of Steel Casing to Single Shaft Foundation Structural Resistance

TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) has issued a request for proposals to propose revisions to the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Load and Resistance Factor Design Bridge Specifications for a single shaft foundation supporting a column to account for the contribution of steel casing including reinforced concrete confinement and composite action on structural resistance. Proposals are due December 4, 2012.
