The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) recently released the 2nd edition of the Pavement Management Guide.
The new Pavement Management Guide, which was developed by the AASHTO Joint Technical Committee on Pavements, the Highway Subcommittee on Design, and the Highway Subcommittee on Materials, highlights information on advancements in pavement management practices, including the increased emphasis on pavement preservation programs, advancements in data quality and integration issues, recent initiatives impacting the types of data required from pavement management, and the increased importance of performance measurement and asset management principles.
A chapter-by chapter overview of the Guide is available in a new informational video on the AASHTO Transportation TV video channel. This video includes a description of the significant revisions made to the Guide since the first edition, released in 2001.
The 200-page Guide is available in print (Item Code: PMG-2) and as an online downloadable publication (Item Code: PMG-2-UL). The price of the Guide is $114, or $95 for current AASHTO members.
