Commission Names McGrath Mississippi DOT Interim Executive Director

The Mississippi Transportation Commission this week named Melinda LittleJohn McGrath to be Mississippi Department of Transportation’s interim executive director, according to an MDOT statement. McGrath, who had served as MDOT’s deputy executive director and chief engineer, will overseeing the department’s 3,300 employees and $1.1 billion annual budget.

The appointment comes after the commission opted for a change in leadership. McGrath previously worked in the MDOT district that includes South Mississippi. She told the Biloxi-Gulfport Sun Herald that she hoped to work on MDOT’s image while she is interim executive director.
