San Francisco Bay Area Pothole Report

Attached is an outstanding publication from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) in the San Francisco Bay Area.  It does an excellent job of explaining pavement preservation principles and the close relationship between preservation, energy usage, and green house gas (GHG) emissions.  It also discusses pavement management and condition ratings, and the resources that are needed to maintain or improve the roadway conditions in the Bay Area in order to comply with their 2035 plan.  As a final note on the report, a good tie-in between the “Complete Streets” program and preservation is made in the publication.
