A Mechanistic-Empirical Model for Top-Down Cracking of Asphalt Pavement Layers

TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) has issued a request for proposals to develop a mechanistic-empirical model (and associated computational software) for predicting top-down cracking in asphalt pavement layers and incorporation into the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide Manual of Practice procedures. Proposals are due by December 15, 2011.
