Development of Bridge Foundation Movement Criteria

TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) has issued a request for proposals to develop a framework to determine the acceptable levels of bridge foundation movements based upon structure tolerance to total and differential movements considering service and strength limit states. The project will also develop proposed revisions to the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Load and Resistance Factor Design Bridge Design Specifications. Proposals due by December 13, 2011.
