Minnesota DOT’s Chief Engineer Named to AASHTO Committee

James Mohn, Chief Engineer for the Minnesota Department of Transportation, was appointed to the AASHTO Special Committee on Wireless Communications Technology, effective June 22.

Mohn was appointed to the committee by AASHTO President Kirk Steudle and is set to serve as a member for a three-year term.

AASHTO’s Special Committee on Wireless Communications Technology is responsible for monitoring developments regarding radio communications, working to secure and protect frequency assignments to meet the needs of the member departments, cooperating with others having common interests with member departments in securing and protecting frequencies, proposing to AASHTO’s Standing Committee on Highways such policy statements as it believes AASHTO should consider and adopt, and representing the interests of AASHTO and its members in proceedings before federal agencies on radio frequency matters.
