FHWA Hosts Webinar on Federal Requirements of Enhanced National Highway System

AASHTO Journal, 1 March 2013

The Federal Highway Administration announced this week it will host a webinar later this month on federal requirements of the Enhanced National Highway System (NHS), especially changes to the system that were included in MAP-21.

FHWA will also discuss the process for making modifications to the system and talk about federal requirements that affect the NHS, such as design standards, outdoor advertising and junkyard control, and Highway Performance Monitoring System reporting requirements.

Webinar participants will hear from various representatives from many of FHWA’s offices, including those from Planning, Environment and Realty, Infrastructure, and Highway Policy Information.

The number of participants is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Registration for the webinar is available here. Additional information on the highway provisions outlined in MAP-21 is available here.
