$1 in Pavement Preservation Saves $6 to $10 in Future Expenditures

Maintenance engineers have been making the case for preventive maintenance for years-but their message has often gone unheeded. As far back as 1997, a study by the Michigan Department of Transportation (DOT) provided hard evidence that preventive maintenance was a wise investment. More details can be found in the FHWA’s “Focus Magazine” from September 1997.
