Richard Davey Named to Head Massachusetts DOT

Gov. Deval Patrick announced last week he has appointed Richard Davey as secretary and CEO of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation effective Sept. 1. Davey will replace outgoing MassDOT chief Jeffrey Mullan, who last month announced his decision to resign to return to the private sector.

Since March 2010, Davey has served as MassDOT’s rail and transit administrator as well as general manager of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.
