Seal / No Seal Group Update

The Texas Transportation Institute, a member of the Texas A&M University system, is in the midst of conducting research, Effect of Joint Sealant Condition on Moisture Infiltration and Erosion Potential, for the Seal/No Seal Group. The project is scheduled for completion in early 2012. TTI is measuring flow through sealed, partially sealed, and unsealed joints by developing infiltration test procedures and Ground Penetrating Radar test procedures. TTI is recognized as one of the finest higher education-affiliated transportation research agencies in the nation. The testing is fully funded by industry contributions to the SNS Group.
