Bridges are crucial links in transportation infrastructure, you are charged with ensuring they are designed, constructed, and maintained in good and safe working condition. The evolution of bridge technology has come about with improvements in science and structural theories, and through improvements in construction material technology. With all the advances in bridge design, rehabilitation, maintenance, and construction also comes misconceptions, misinformation and myths.
This 2-day workshop and trade show will include presentations on topics such as bridge design issues and best practices, performance measures, bridge life and assessment, bridge and culvert construction and inspection presented by leading industry experts. The trade show will give participants the chance to speak with industry innovators and consultants.
The purpose of the event is to put aside the myths, and get to the reality of meeting the critical need for enhancing the performance of our existing bridges, and how to ensure the new ones are designed and constructed to ensure long life, durability, and sustainability.
