LOI: Performance of Rumble Stripes and Profiled Markings

TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Synthesis Program has issued a request for letters of interest to synthesize current practicesidentified by state using rumble stripes. This synthesis will include pavement markings used in the southern states that are sometimes called profiled or audible pavement markings (markings that have a feature that protrudes from the surface to add an audible sensation and possibly increase wet night visibility).

Letters of interest are due by August 15, 2014.
