This week on Transportation TV, view special coverage of the AASHTO Spring Meeting, held May 27-29 in Louisville, Kentucky. Among the issues discussed at the conference was the pending Highway Trust Fund crisis. In an interview with Transportation TV, Rhode Island Department of Transportation Director Mike Lewis said that in his state, the crisis “is affecting us right now and we’re very anxious that Congress resolve this.” Federal Highway Administration Executive Director Jeff Paniati tells Transportation TV what state officials should be doing now and, speaking on behalf of the AASHTO Board of Directors, AASHTO President and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Secretary Mike Hancock released a statement on the issue.
