Advances in State DOT Superload Permit Processes and Practices

The U.S. Domestic Scan Program has released a report that explores leading practices for permitting overweight/oversize truck loads and presents opportunities for increased automation and uniformity among states. The U.S. Domestic Scan Program was developed by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials and is administered the National Cooperative Highway Research Program. The opinions and conclusions expressed or implied in U.S. Domestic Scan Program documents are those of the scan team and are not necessarily those of the Transportation Research Board, the National Research Council, or the program sponsors.
