On September 22, 2016, President of the World Road Association Oscar de Buen Richkarday, Secretary General of the World Road Association Patrick Malléjacq, and TRB Executive Director Neil Pedersen signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding cooperation and joint activities between the World Road Association (PIARC) and TRB. PIARC brings together the road administrations of 121 governments worldwide and has members from 140 countries. This MOU will enable TRB and PIARC committees to work together to highlight shared information, research results, and products; organize or participate in joint meetings or other activities; and exchange information involving roads and road transport.
