TRB’s SHRP 2 Tuesdays Webinar: A Framework for Collaborative Decision-Making on Additions to Highway Capacity

As part of the SHRP2 Tuesdays Webinar Series, TRB will host a webinar from 2 to 4 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, Aug. 19, that will discuss SHRP2 projects relating to the development of the Framework for Collaborative Decision-Making on Additions to Highway Capacity.

There is no fee to attend the webinar; however, participants must register in advance.

According to TRB, the decision-making research was derived from 23 case studies of highway capacity enhancements and finds that effective, multi-stakeholder collaboration is a common success theme. The research organized decision points in Long Range Planning, Corridor Planning, Programming, and Environmental Review into a Decision Guide for planning that became the organizing structure for a web-based resource now known as PlanWorks, formerly TCAPP. The research contributes to the development and communication of a framework to ensure projects move ahead without delays and avoid decisions that will be deferred or revisited.
