For decades, the World Road Association (PIARC) and the International Road Federation (IRF), have been collaborating on the occasion of the world conferences organized by each of the two organizations. This tradition is perpetuated with the next event of the IRF.

A second session will deal with the Management of road assets by addressing new approaches and trends. Both sessions will be co-chaired by the Secretary General of PIARC, Jean-François Corté. Interventions are planned by several PIARC members during these sessions.

A third technical session will be devoted to Safety in construction and operations of road tunnels. This session was prepared by Pierre Schmitz, past-Chairman of the PIARC Technical Committee on Road Tunnel Operations. It will include a presentation of the PIARCelectronic Manual on Road tunnels.
