The U.S. Department of Transportation has released an initial report that outlines the trends that are likely to shape the needs of the United States’ transportation system over the next three decades. This report, which will finalized later in 2015, is designed to facilitate a national conversation about the future of the U.S. transportation system and to objectively frame critical policy choices.
